In 2011, a survey was taken, asking Americans this question: "If your party nominated a generally well-qualified person for president who happened to be Mormon, would you vote for that person?" 22% answered "No." Similar results have come from the same polls since first recorded in 1967.*

This question is more compelling than ever now that a Mormon (a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) is a Presidential nominee. Will America continue its trepidation toward voting for a Mormon? Or will we see views evolve on a large scale in this arena in the way we have seen toward other political factors? These are the questions explored in "The Religious Test," a documentary film about Mormons and Politics.
