Irish cable knitting author Allison Snopek Barta teaches how to knit a cable stitch. To see her irish cable knitting pattern books check out http://www.irishcableknitting.com

Allison currently has written two books on this topic: Irish Cable Knitting Aran: Volume One and Volume Two. She has also written multiple other patterns for Irish style cable knitting.

The cable stitch can be used while knitting scarves, mittens, sweaters, ponchos, blankets, bed socks, smocks, etc.

    Thanks! I cable ok, but haven't seen any one knit right off the hook. I've always put the stitches back on the left needle. I live your way. I see your in a salon. I'm a stylist too :)

    I just started cable knitting and REALLY like the knitting hooks you're using. Where do you buy them? The only place I can find them is ONE listing on e-bay that is out of Singapore (and they are these really creepy pastel colors...). Is there any other place to buy them?
