Gerard Grisey's contemplative work for solo Bass Clarinet, Anubis-Nout. It is a two part work, each movement meant to represent the mythical figures Anubis and Nout, respectively.

  • Only thing is, it's a contrabass clarinet, not a bass clarinet!

  • Very singular sound and structure. It accompanies very well the work that am painting.

Thank you very much for sharing.

  • @Yilver Yes, contrabass clarinet, I think the work was dedicated to bass clarinetist Harry Sparnaay

  • @Yilver I think so too, but on the Amazon listing, it says bass clarinet. This seems to be a common theme of all publications and broadcasts of Anubis, which leaves me wanting to look at the score (I want to see it for the notation as well)...

  • okkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least a painter that knows about contemporary music!!!!! great!

  • thanks for this!
