Wishbones + Kidneys: new paintings by Jason O'Malley for Rural Modernist Studio

Abstract paintings on 1" thick pine planks featuring modernist Seussian silhouettes based on my ceramics. I mask off the board, cut out the designs with an x-acto blade, then spray paint the colors on the exposed areas. After it's dry, I remove the tape revealing the image and the wood underneath.
A perfect addition to any modern home, they can be hung on the wall or stand alone on a table. These paintings are chunky and a little rough around the edges on purpose: drips, overspray, knot holes, and cut marks add to the uniqueness of each piece.
Dimensions: 7.25" x 12" x 1" thick pine board with pre-drilled hole on back for easy hanging. Signed and dated on back and stamped with the Rural Modernist logo.
