Zahiruddin Muhammad was born on February 14, 1483[2] in the town of Andijan, in the Fergana Valley which is in modern Uzbekistan. He was the eldest son of Omar Sheikh Mirza,[3] ruler of the Fergana Valley, who he described as "short and stout, round-bearded and fleshy faced",[citation needed] and his wife Qutlugh Nigar Khanum. Although Babur hailed from the Barlas tribe which was of Mongol origin, his tribe had embraced Turkic[4] and Persian culture[5][6] (see Turco-Mongol, Turco-Persian), converted to Islam and resided in Turkestan and Khorasan. His mother tongue was the Chaghatai language (known to Babur as Tōrkī, "Turkish") and he was equally at home in Persian, the lingua franca of the Timurid elite[7]; he wrote his famous memoirs, the Baburnama, in the former language, that of his birthplace.

Again you are incorrect! Babur did had Mongol blood line which emerges from his grand mother side, which happened to be daughter of Chugtai Khan and of course Chugtai was second son of Genghis Khan. If you read wiki on the net you will get concise knowledge instead of swering? AND YES Turk (ie) language was spoken large part of central Asia, as Chugtai Turk. The whole Babur-e-Nama written in Chugtai Turk I am sure you came across that?

You are incorrect! When Genghis Khan invaded South West and East Asia and conquered the region they acquired great deal of talented Engineers, Artisan and all type builders. Their native language was Turki. Chugtai Khan 2nd son of Genghis Khan become Governor of the Region, who adopted Turki language as known by Chugtai Turk. Timrid or Tamblane or Taimur Lung who was Turk Muslim king and Married to Chugtai Khan's daughter.

Dude the word "Turk" or "Turkic" IS an umbrella term. Just like Indo-European . Any one that speaks the Turkic languages is labeled as a Turk.And a common language doesnt mean your related,as Arabic is used by Negros,Semitics,etc just like the Turkic languages is used by Mongoloid people and Caucasian.

first of all the denom of "uzbek" came to mainstage only with Shayboni Khan in the 16th centruy. Temur znat' ne znal pro Uzbekov (literal translation: Temur didn't even know if he knew about Uzbeks). second of all he took just Dehli (probably didn't see point in going further. otherwise he could crush not only india or china but any power on earth)
