Mustang no mufflers

I decided to take my Mac mufflers off for a weekend to see how it would sound with no mufflers...it sounded really good however every bump would rattle my over axle pipes so I had to put them back on.

nice mustang, i have a 98 gt all stock except for a flowmaster exhaust kit, i really wanna get the PI Heads from the 99 and place them on there so i can get a cheap but powerful gain in hp. nice vid though.

Technically emissions wise its completely legal. I still had the stock cats on at the time I made this video. As long as the cats are untouched then the car is legal emissions wise, no matter what you do with the mufflers. Now sound wise it could have been "illegal" because of the volume, but I had no issues ;)

sounds great but... i think you are cheating... any sound you make in a closed place will be intensified. Still, i bet even out of your garage it will sound good. Nice car btw

Thanks, yeah it will be louder in the garage, but I guess it makes up for the cheap camera :D. Anyhow I now have the o/r prochamber + mac mufflers. One of these days Im taking the mufflers off. No cats + no mufflers = another new video.

I did this too and my pipe rattles but it was b/c I loosened it up and didnt tighten it up right. I also have long tubes and an o/r x-pipe and it was insanely loud. I got a ticket :-)
