Islamic law is often mixed with patriarchial traditions that are used to oppress women. A new university, the Last Prophet madrassa in the Karta Se neighborhood of Kabul, is teaching the Koran to classes of both men and women in an effort to change this. @salimkhan007 I am a muslim also and I think that if Afghanistan wants to be a modern and a strong nation whith a good economy, than they just have to separete the religion and state. And I don't understnad why peopel like you are so afraid of it. Nobody is saing that you should abonden Islam or somthing, in a secular state you stiil can go to you mosque and let you beard grow as long as you want.
