My attempt at possibly Metallica's cheesiest song pre-2003 - "Hit the Lights".

I've got quite a few Metallica songs with isolated tracks and I'm just going through them and having some fun. I did more my own thing for this one.

  • Wow... I didn't expect it to be this good.. vocal covers are usually something I stay away from but you owned it... the only thing was James' voice was a lot higher but can't fault you there.

  • @DeutschlandPorsche Ha ha yeah, some parts I just HAD to scream because the notes were too high. This was before James' nuts dropped. lol

  • YOU ARE A SICK SON OF A F*** i cant stop litsening :P this is awsome

  • @dantte1234 Ha ha thanks, bro.

  • you used the zen of screaming? cool. well dude this is a pretty good cover. one thing I don't hear so much is the high pitched screams James did

  • @LiamKalyan Yeah, my screams turn to Balck Dahlia if I push that high. Zen of Screaming is okay... it helped slightly with warming up, but I'd be lying if I said it's got all it takes to make you into a good screamer, far from it.

  • Nice one, haven't seen such a good cover yet. The only thing I can say is that James had like octave-higher voice back in the days XD Great!

  • the best vocal i ever seen in youtube !

  • @RikkWolf Lol too true. Sick cover and look forward to seeing more.

  • @ZuBeRCraZyBassY I use an AKG C 2000 B mic and record with Logic Pro 8. All I put on my voice is some EQ, Premium Reverb and some compression.

  • @kossak88 Don't forget James actually does mild screaming on this song, and many of Kill 'Em All's tracks!

  • @x9xn00bx9x I'm referring to the unintentional cheese that is St. Anger (I meant 2003). More specifically, lines like, "Fran-tic-tic-tic-tock", which sound as if an eighth grader penned them.

  • @FlamingPineapples1 Thank you for watching and commenting! :D

  • @RikkWolf

Your cover is better than mine, Favorited and subbed but if you have time to listen to mine its here
