Los Angeles Immigration Rally May 1, 2006. Watch as thousands of people march down Wilshire Boulevard to protest U.S. immigration policy. This is not the Immigration Rally of 2007 where LAPD officers indiscriminately beat protesters and news people. These pictures and video were taken from the library of Southwestern School of Law.

Americans have been depending on immigration since America's conception. That and slavery. There was a hatred of German immigrants, a hatred of chinese/japanese immigrants, hatred of Irish immigrants, and like the hypocrisy of slavery there is hypocrisy to immigration. Ben Franklin used to bash German immigrants for all of the street gangs they had, for not wanting to speak English, all of the "German" that was being spoken in Philadelphia, etc. Learn your history people.
