  • I must ''respectfully disagree '' with WannebeFruFru's comment about this version. Hearing Elizabeth Frazer sing this song is pretty much as close as you're gonna come to hearing ''god's'' voice without having to go to all the trouble of dying. Look up the definition of ''totally holy mind fuck'' on Wickipedia, and they have a copy of this song ready for you to hear most quickly !! And as for the version by John Frusciante..........don't even get me started. SORRY, JUST MY TAKE ON IT.......

  • A great darkness... DEVOURING THE LIGHT!!!

  • @bigscreenism1 me too what a beautiful voice to out to

  • I want this song played @ my funeral...not to be morbid...it's already on my "if I die" disk.Everyone should have one :)

  • ....shifter

  • yes but that man was tim buckley and his son was jeff

  • is it true this song was written by a heroin addict who later died of their addiction?

  • Thumb up If during the song, you thought that any moment you would hear Heath ledger's voice.

    Miss you sweet-Heath!

  • @mondoman2016 you nailed it Kid

  • I agree wholeheartedly with STONEBEADMAKER. Until The Lovely Bones lead me to discover this awesome song, I had never heard of Elizabeth Frasier and now her voice echos in my mind when I'm stuck inside a silent moment. I also love the original, released after Tim Buckley performed it on The Monkees last show (RIP, Davey Jones). Notice the change from "puzzled as an oyster" to "puzzled as a newborn child" in the interim. I did not, at all, like the Frusciante rendition.

  • Song to a Siren was apparently in the last ever Monkees show. It was Tim rather than this one, but hey, spine-chilling.

  • wow!!!
