Actually, he is wearing a strap. At the workshop, he said that while he wears it, he doesn't like to use it (thus, dipping into the stance)

The youtube video quality is bad so it's hard to tell. However, putting &fmt=18 at the end of the URL, a higher quality version will show. The strap too. Besides higher quality, the audio-video is finally synchronized (it's outta sync normally, as you can see).

Putting &fmt=18 to any youtube vid will show a higher quality video, if it's available.
