  • slick.. interesting idea.. how about a large inverted umbrella for a table that captures rain down the center tube.

  • @josephdupont The upside down umbrella was original inspiration and we tried it. But there were too many moving parts for mass production and it would also have to made out of expensive wood to avoid rust. Another issue was we needed a standard fitting on it so that you could put it into whatever tank or barrel the user might have. The standard fitting also enables more than one collector per barrel.

  • so what do you use if you don't have one of those barrels?

  • @Sylvia441 We work with any water storage. See our Photo gallery at our website.

We've installed into Barrels, Tanks, Buckets, Totes, Trash Cans. You just need a 2" bulkhead fitting available at most irrigation supply stores. Some of our retailers also sell them.

  • I live in San Antonio, Texas. This year, we finally got some much needed rain after being trapped in a drought for almost two years. Wish I had this on hand for the last few months.

  • TSP brought me here.

  • Great interview on TSP with Jack. Great idea!
