Chile could turn to the right for the first time since Pinochet's military dictatorship, according to polls that put a billionaire businessman as the frontrunner in weekend presidential elections. The Sunday vote is to select a successor to hugely popular President Michelle Bachelet, who is barred from seeking reelection.Duration: 01:40

  • @fourkero1 he will give alla his money to poor people.

  • This man has a personal fortune of 2.600 billions dollars , and in the past year of 2010 , hes fortune increase in 200 millions dollars as Fobes says , well done peoples of Chile ! and the changes are the poor becoming more poor ! the sistem , is so insane .

  • Sebastian Pinera is a wonderful and humble even though he is a billionaire.

Im sure he can bring the changes to the people of Chile and the time will proof it.

    Long life Chile......!!!!!

  • @bonfirejovi

Is that right? We must have read 2 different histories....

  • @Kiddolinfen09 Oh yes because the political class are much better huh?

  • @meinLiebsterFeind the chilean economy has been right wing for the last 40 years, the leftists didnt change much.

  • @Kiddolinfen09 you realise that you have been the 10th economically freest country for a long time. the left did very little to change pinochet's economic policies. as a result of your freer markets you are by many accounts the most prosperous country in latin america. it could be worse, you could be Venezuela.

  • I feel pretty good about this guy. He sure knows a lot about economics, owning many companies and being a professor of economics. I think he'll create more jobs for Chile.

  • We Chileans are fickle.

  • @Kiddolinfen09

A right wing billionaire is going to help you out? I thought you Chileans were doing very well; why make a fundamental shift in the opposite direction when you're doing well? It makes no sense..
