@glynamus Again, though, they're not even sure who the Finkle (or Finkel) was that died (or at least fought) at Last Stand Hill, or if that was even his real name, so I don't see how they could find any offspring, at all...
@rangerzep83 if its a mass grave then that means the bodies are stacked like cord wood on top of each other. if the bodies was mutilated like was described then the bones or remains will be scattered and mix with others remains. dna from teeth would be the best bet. then offspring if any need to give up their dna and see if a match could be found. maybe some of the troopers identifed could cross out questions on to weather frank survived or died at last stand hill. could help.
@glynamus Why would they dig up Custer's men? What would they run Frank's DNA against? Frank's DNA wouldn't match the other men whether his story is true or not. This is not something they could use DNA testing for.
have to dig up the graves of the cav men and the ole man franks bones and do dna to see if anything matches. if it dont, then maybe frank was telling the truth, but i think no one got out except one tired horse
If you want to get more info on this documentary, you should read the book "Custer Survivor." its a pretty good book and it makes a pretty good argument.
He wasn't really the "sole survivor". Major Reno and Captain Benteen were still "entrenched" on "Renos' Bluff with actually a little over two thirds overall of Custers' remaining 7th -who lied and lied to cover up their part in Custers' death.
When general Terrys' column was approaching; the Lakota/Cheyenne broke off their seige of Reno and Benteen....and yet it was a "victory" for Sitting Bull!?!?!?!
@rangerzep83 i guess so then.
