my mistake. i did a little more research you can bore .60 over. what i read was that .30 over was the safest because anything over makes the coolant runner walls very thin. my mistake and im sorry for the comment : )

0.60 over? on a 305? you do know that its impossable to do this right. the coolant runners inside the block restrict the block from being bored over 0.30. unless you meant to type 350. the 350 block can be bored a max of 0.80.

Its cool bob8703. So far I haven't had any issues with the engine, but its only got about 500 miles on it. Its actually an older 2 piece rear main seal block, which I got given to me. It was in fairly rough shape being bored once and having a few gouges, so I decided to go for broke and take it .060.
