Springsteen's title song from New album MAGIC, preformed live in Toronto. all the credits are due to Springsteen production team. I thought I should share it with the masses.it very moving and intimate.
here is the lyrics:

I got a coin in my palm
I can make it disappear
I got a card up my sleeve
Name it and I'll pull it out your ear
I got a rabbit in my hat
If you wanna come and see
This is what we'll be
This is what we'll be

I got shackles on my wrists
Soon I'll slip and I'll be gone
Chain me in a box in the river
And Rising in the Sun
Trust none of what you hear
And less of what you see
This is what we'll be
This is what we'll be

I got a shiny saw blade
All I need's a volunteer
I'll cut you in half
While your smilin' at me
And the freedom that your songs
Drifting like a ghost amongst the trees
This is what we'll be
This is what we'll be

Now there's a fire down below
But it's coming up here
So leave everything you know
Carry only what you feel
On the road the sun is sinkin' low
Sombody's hanging in the trees
This is what we'll be
This is what we'll be

  • I actually like this version better then the album Version. The violin makes it really beautiful.

  • Love this song. I think Patti and Bruce's duets are amazing. Thanks for posting this.

  • @metalheid18 You tool

  • the lyrics are off a little

  • @themonaghans Patti ruins just about any song she warbles on. Like a tortured cat!

    Brilliant song otherwise.

  • I love the violin. This song is absolutely amazing and it irritates the hell out of me that I can't find the album version anywhere. >:|

  • Great version,

The violin is a nice touch. Bob Dylan had a woman play violin for some of his music in the 70s. Think it was on the album, Desire and the song, "Isis." A woman on the violin adds something special to a song.

  • The Boss is still the Boss!!!

  • he can do soooo much better than that talentless disgusting hag

  • im the biggest springsteen fan...dont get me wrong but...patty brings bruce down

  • Agree with you. With Soozie's voice it just better to hear a different version than the studio one.

  • I actually like Bruce singing it with a female voice in the background. It's more powerful that way. I saw him live in concert two weeks ago, and he sang it together with Soozie. It was amazing.
