Speaking In Tongues (Part 2 of 2)

This video is about the gift of tongues and what it is according to the Bible.

In this 2 part series, I go through all the Scriptures in the book of Acts and Corinthians which speak about tongues, and I also go into the original Greek to get the proper definitions of the words.

Wow.. That's just so wicked crazy bartowski! Many time I have been amazed and fascinated when people speak in this "heavenly language"... Maybe I should send them this video.. But it is very long, and I don't think many will take their time to see it and I'm not so good at explaining =/

Well the reason it's "very long" is because it addresses every passage on the gift of tongues and leaves no room for a view or belief that's not even in the Bible. We can't ignore context; and it takes time and careful reading to understand this topic. Some just don't want to take the time to understand "tongues" according to the Bible but instead blindly follow a man's experience or tradition.

Can I ask you a question? You obviously have a lot of intellectual knowledge......but are you in love with Jesus? What happens when you pray? How often do you have a a sense of God's presence? I'm curious to know.......not doubting your authenticity.....just curious to know what's in your heart. God bless you

Thank you for your comment and question. How is my prayer life? I will sum it up like this; there is nothing more beautiful than coming into contact with our God and Savior through prayer!

Reading and having fellowship with others, and all other things can’t even begin to be compared to praying to our Heavenly Father! It is through prayer we can experience true joy and achieve/overcome all things.

Very well done, 1nemind. For me, in America, it is amazing to see someone who has 'only' known the Lord for a few years to have this 'deep' of an understanding on this issue. I say this to the shame of the lazy 'Christians' who have been believers for even decades....and still don't understand. They do not study the Word of God. - Not only have you presented sound doctrine on this issue(I don't know about any of your other doctrines as I write this)...but you have done so in a wonderful way.

@toxendon , I encourage you friend as Paul told Timothy... Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. When we diligently study a subject, God will give us the speech to explain it to others. and those who love truth will watch the videos no matter how long they may be & IF it's God's will, he will enlighten them.

I love your passion for study and an obvious desire to help people grow in their knowledge of the word on this subject, but there are some glaring errors in the premise of some of your polemic:

1. Not all pentecostals/charismatics believe that speaking in tongues is a HEAVENLY language for direct communication with God. I do not, and many pastors that I know do not. Please adjust this hint of presumption in your teaching.
