glad to see so much support for bowie live. "just standing there", are you serious? high maybe? a select few artists have no business in a studio. THEY BELONG LIVE! bowie is one of them. prince another one.thin lizzy, los lobos,....take your own pick! bowie, crissy hynde together with mick at the end.ps. at one concert bowie broke out a sax for a skiffle jam, now that's badass.

David Bowie is a great artist, but let's be honest: he can't play life. His shows are insipid and dull, he just stands there and sings in off-keys, misplacing lyrics, and he's often drunk or high.

David was right at Mick Ronson's side supporting him when he died of cancer, and David set up a trust fund for Marc Bolan's children when he died tragically...Gossip away jerk,David's gracious character is well attested to. Wavelength247 - you said it better than I could have. There seems to be some bitter / twisted movement that came up with a story about David not giving a shit about Mick. Anyone who was close to their circle of friends around the time knows how far from the truth this is.
