@basmithtx THose Yes "For-Profit-Colleges" do receive government funds in student grants.A university sells student loans from a bank and it's easy to see they raise the costs at those schools constantly for the only purpose of fattening up the student loan, it's easily proven the degree is worthless in both cases.No less of a scam,just a different one.

Good Job CNN and the GAO for your investigations!
I commented about my treatment at U of P to the President via the White House web site.
Thanks, for listening Mr. President and GAO.

Good Job, CNN and hats off to the GAO. I was a victim of U of P's deceptive loan practices and placed in collection. Commented to the President via the White House's web site, Good Job GAO and Mr. President for investigating!

@webDes33 If you're referring to cronyism, that's not itself capitalism. It's a result of government being huge and too powerful... it happens in just about any form of government.

@basmithtx sopa says hi!

@jaydenfre2413 "For-profit colleges", as the title mentions, don't receive much (or any at all, in many cases) money from federal funds. Schools that receive taxpayer funding, like University of Texas for example, have a lot of restrictions and controls in place on how that taxpayer funding is spent, as well as a large number of regulations and requirements.

@ridewave444 Actually, no. The US isn't pure capitalism by any stretch.

Lots of hype,promises of a career,Low cost of a degree most of it being funded by taxpayers.This isn't any different from most colleges across the country.

Welcome to America. Capitalism on fucking steroids.
The ads go towards YouTube...not CNN

@bpstick The disclaimer at the start of CNN videos say the ads are "provided by Turner on behalf of Turner", so not Youtube. That said, I'm sure there's some sort of arrangement in place.
