@PACER2320 I don't get the coke can stoves. They seem like a lot of work when all you really need is something small like the tealight case that will hold and burn alcohol. I think the coke can stoves look neater but don't know that they are any better. I wonder if anyone has tested it.

How did you get the top? I know you said you cut if off another can but how? With a hacksaw or something?
-
@PACER2320, it does the same thing - IT BOILS WATER!

Don't really get the tea light stove. As compared to a pepsi can stove which has vent holes n a burner like pattern.
A tea light is just an empty container with alcohol, not really a stove.

I think the pot is neat, but I was wondering; is it safe to use any kind of can that has food in it? I.E. soup can, bean can...?

@WildWilde I just chose a can that I thought served well as far as size is concerned, also this particular can is very rugged. Other cans can cave/compress easily.

you should drill a hole in the top of the can, pass a eye bolt into the top and tighten it there, then you can take the top off easier.

Mind if I ask how much water you were boiling?

@hiramcook I honestly can't remember, it may have been 2 cups?
