Barton Theater organ as played by Mark Gifford at the Springfield High School in Springfield, Illinois. Mark Gifford can be reached by contacting the Parkway Christian Church on Lindbergh Blvd. in Springfield, Ill. The high school was built in the late 1920s and has original organ chambers and pit for the console, but the organ itself was not installed until the 1960s. The high school had no prior organ. The Barton organ came from a theater in Springfield, Illinois.

  • Id love to just see her. My current ATOS Chapter has a robert morton 4/28 were up keep. Im moving out to OR in the fall and would love to see it.

    Of course. Timing is everything, but I have access to the organ anytime school is not in session and the auditorium is free. Do know that the old girl is still under repair. I know how to play around everything wrong with it. LOL
