All villagers, high and low, gather in the local tavern to enjoy themselves. Anything can happen: a servant and his master may find themselves under the skirts of the same maid; priests have tasted the communion wine and crave more.

Performed in Turku Medieval Market 2009 by Räikkä. http://raikka-yhtye.blogspot.com/

  • Fabulous!!

  • @tiki2188 Its a hurdy Gurdy, basically a cranked fiddle turning the wheel bows the strings

  • @Johnfrooshlover

Ah thank you, it is. I asked on another video and someone said it was a hurdy gurdy. Thanks and good eye!

  • @tiki2188 idk if it's right, but it looks to be a hurdy gurdy. It at least resembles one.

  • What is the name of the instrument that one woman keeps turning?

  • These women are WONDERFUL! I noticed that they are performing in the Medieval Market in Turku, Finland, and I was wondering if those two beautiful hurdy gurdies were made by Finnish hurdy gurdy maker, Billy Horne, whose studio is in Turku.
