My first cooking Video. I make Pickled Eggs. I only make them one time a year and it is always at Easter. I guess the tradition for making them at Easter is because you Have to do something with All those Easter Eggs you made for the Egg Hunt. I would never use those eggs though because I'm paranoid about stuff like that.

Anywho, I hope you enjoy this video and if there are parts of the the video that I didn't make clear or is confusing-- please just ask me. I was very nervous making the video because I've never made a cooking video and I wanted to make sure I explained everything to you about the whole process.

Hugs!

  • sooo i made 3 big pickle jars of pickled eggs, i ive never made them before but we love to eat them but at $6.99 for 8 or 9 pickled eggs is crazy, made 5 dozen pickled eggs for less than $10. but i was wondering if it pickles them faster if you boil the vinegar and pour it over the eggs in the jar like you did in this video. i didnt boil the vinegar just 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water and added 3 to 4 bay leaves to each jar. its been 2 and a half days so far

  • @deerslayer048 I think boiling the vinegar would probably pickle the eggs faster. Still yet they should be pickled in just a few days. I hope they are tasty for you. Thanks for watching!

  • Made Deviled eggs with this, Awesome.

  • @JAYZILL44 I am so glad you liked the eggs. It's coming pickled egg time in a month or so for us!

  • Why do you leave out the beet juice?

  • @ahsookie1 I don't believe I did. I used the beet juice along with white vinegar.

  • Youre accent is awesome.. Love it...

  • The problem you had with peeling was not the age of the eggs, it was the way you boiled them. Bring the water to a boil and then with a spoon slide the eggs into the hot water. boil them on medium for 10 minutes (completely hard) yada yada. Cool them with COLD water as quickly as possible. they should peel very very easily like that. You can salt the water, or vineger it (i usualy just salt) but thats optional. The main thing is eggs into hot water GENTLY.
