The financial crisis seems as if it emerged from nowhere and struck as hard and fast as lightning. How did so many financial institutions crumble with so little warning? There are many reasons, but one that has not been given much attention is how tax havens helped enable the mess — and how several of the big companies that have received billions of bailout dollars were also the most active in the shady world of offshore finance.

  • What they don't tell you is the United States itself is a big tax haven for others outside the country. States such as Nevada, Wyoming, South Dakota, Arizona, Alaska and Delaware are considered tax haven states. Hypocrites!!

  • Ahh usury ... what a game you are missing. The usurer has but one tool and you use it to his benefit at your detriment.

  • Tax havens must be banned!!!

  • To make a long story into a short version---No matter which words you use to explian or justify what has happen involving the wall street bank fraud.

LIES ,FRAUD , AND GREED, " IT IS A CRIMMINAL ACTION."

  • the bailout money, I presume banks like Citigroup have to pay the money back. Is that right?

  • nice video. am surprised to see it uploaded in January 09!!! CBS just only ran exact similar story yesterday (2/23/09)!

Video does FAIL to mention possible CRIMINAL money mingled with these banks "assets" off shore! maybe citi is financing a lot of slim shady's!!!!!

  • just like the currency, banks prefer floating public officials. they abhor public leaders who are pegged to some golden standard.

Floating politicians can be printed, in various denominations and as many as desired given that the excess are taken out of the circulation through tax charges and inflated campaign costs among others.

they expect the officials to float, flip-flop as needed or directed.
