Styrofoam Can be Crafted into an Infinite Number of Shapes

With the fast-paced development in modern technology, architects, contractors, developers, commercial building owners and homeowners are well equipped with tremendous number of materials to provide their needs. What almost instantly comes into mind is the use of wood and concrete products. It doesn’t always have to be that way, things have changed.

Today, the use of EPS (expanded polystyrene) products allows limitless options and custom solutions to enhance the aesthetic and creative appeal of new buildings and restorations in both residential and commercial applications. EPS is what is commonly known as “Styrofoam”, but this is actually a trademarked term by Dow Chemical, EPS is the generic term.

It can also be manufactured quickly, reducing time frames, and avoiding the usual delays in construction. There are numerous advantages of using EPS for custom foam shapes.

Material and installation costs are comparatively low, because it is not heavy and are positioned and installed easily without the need for large mechanical equipments; It is easy to manage and handle; simple to cut and shape; it also bonds easily; it is moisture- resistant compared to wood; it has high strength despite its weight and not affected by vibration.
