My name is François Ouellette.
This tune is very familiar to the Quebec repertoire. It has been heard in many places in Europe, including Northern England.
There are lyrics too: "Mademoiselle voulez-vous danser, la bastringue, la bastringue..." The song was made populaire by Mme Bolduc and Ovila Légaré in the 1930's.

  • Bravo Francois, quelle superbe interpretation!!. Is that Hohner Morgane?

Where did you buy it from? (Gagne?). Would you recommand it?. I'm currently looking for a 2-row.

    Thanks!

    Mario

  • Yes, it's a Morgane in D/G and I love it! Plays good and looks good too. Got it from Wilson Music Services in Newmarket, On. He is on eBay as Freereedcafe.
