@katiejf Yes, the deductions are completely different today, but this routine, even with the tiny mistakes, epitomises perfection, that's what I meant

@xrictinaaa1 Well technically now she would get deducted for her foot scraping and he legs coming apart in one of the beginning moves and her hop in her landing. But back then it wasn't as picky. I think thats what she means. Everything in gymnastics is a lot different now. So yes she clearly did get a perfect 10 in the 70's. And there is no need to re evaluate her routine. But with everyone jumping the gun on this, I felt the need as a current gymnastics judge to explain the difference.

even back then you were supposed to stick the dismount. 9.9 should have been the highest score after a hop like that.

@breannethegymnastxx The CoP then probably didn't deduct for minor things like this. We cannot apply the current CoP to then.
