music video for title track of my new record I am the Man, released in the UK June of 2007 by Honest Jons/EMI. we shot in a hotel and on the streets of San Francisco; and on a roof top in Hollywood. directed by Linda Serbu. the big chair was designed by Salvador Dali.

I love your lo-fi guitar sound, well crafted tunes and ideas for songs. Not so sure about selling out to a car company. Not really in the Green Man spirit. I guess it's good for exposure and for an independent artist a nice pay cheque. I wondered if this was a hard decision for you to make?

ooh!my first sell out comment.I've been waiting for you,sorry for the delay,I don't check these comments very often.yes, it's not very anti-capitalist of me. it was a hard decision but these days with people making free downloads and copies I'm afraid that selling to an ad is the only way to be a working musician. but I want you to know that I have turned down a couple other ads that I really didn't agree with. one was for a evil cereal co.but the handmade sports car made it through...

@Sooper00 I think there's nothing wrong for her getting the exposure through a car add - I only just discovered her by this - it's so hard to find decent artists these days...it couldv'e been years or maybe never that I heard about her otherwise. Love all the songs I've heard so far & gotta buy the record :)

Could you, Sooper00, explain your harsh criticism of Ms White regarding her letting Audi use her song? I think its so totally easy to make this criticism, but its so stupid at the same time. If you want to make money its only an expression of your joy in life and if you can even make it with something as sweet as the beep-song, its almost a celebration of life. Wheras your criticism is nothing more than throwing sticks between running legs, that go in a great direction.

Reminds me a bit of Regina Spektor - very diffferent style (Spektor with brilliant accompanying piano compositions, while Simone has some really beautiful guitar licks) but same poetic quality effort and power in the vocals

I'm listening to this in Singapore and baffled at how good this is and yet I hadn't heard it before. What is the record co. (if I want to order) or do you produce your own songs? Also, do you post concert date announcements?

BTW Congratuations - THe Beep Beep Song is approaching a million hits and I have a feeling the others will get there in a few short years.
