For 2011, the BA Fashion 'White Show' focuses on 'Milk' as a source of inspiration. Combining the global significance of milk as the purest form of nourishment with a modern industrial aesthetic, Year 1 FCP (Fashion Communication & Promotion) students hosted the inaugural fashion show in Central Saint Martins' new home at Kings Cross on December 8th, 2011.

Informed by 19th century milk factories and the milk bottle production line, the show's concept also references the connotations of milk as an essential form of sustenance and growth. The habitual milk we are fed when born to nurture our bodies references the swaths of white fabric each fashion student was given to create their individual visionary garments.

Injecting their own creativity into unique designs, the white fabric, like milk becomes a vehicle for growth, intensification and demonstrates BA Fashion's distinct DNA of ambition, experimentation and innovation.

Over 120 fashion students showcased their designs in the exhilarating open space at Central Saint Martins. A manifestation of unparalleled fashion creativity, the audience became part of the production line and witnessed The White Show 2011.
