Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS / Mormon) Cannery - Bulk Packing and Storage Tips

Part 2 of my LDS Series where I show some examples of what I do to store bulk packed goods from the LDS Cannery.

The Canneries operate on a non-profit basis, selling their food AT THEIR COST, and with no sales tax. They also welcome anyone in most locations (i.e. you don't have to be an LDS Church member anymore, and you don't even have to bring a member with you to the Cannery).

a question if i just store the food just in the bucket what number of plastic is safe for food ? the buckets i got at walmart are #2 is that safe for food storage?? thx

@PhatGirlzRule If you use mylar bags you should be OK with any type of plastic bucket, but to be 100% sure, I use food safe buckets and mylar bags. Sorry for the late response by the way.

What setting is your iron on?? Can't seem to find any LDS in SC. Do they have a site to order from??

@depravedpuma ioron was on high (and dry). No issues with melting the Mylar. Did you check SC on the locator link I ppsted in the video description?

Some WINCO stores are selling buckets, lids, and O2 absorbers for much less than you can get them from other sources. They also sell a lot of good food in bulk. Again, the prices are very good.

You've see a lot of videos on YouTube about the LDS (Mormon) Cannery and the great resource it has been to preppers. Twice a year, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holds 'General Conference'. During conference, Church leaders often include instructions on both preparedness and the cannery.
