I recorded this flyby of 3D Weather Globe to show the features I think are the most cool. The video shows the Earth (with clouds) and planets and moon as they appeared around 11am PDT Sunday November 22nd, 2009. I first zoom in on San Francisco while the latest satellite images of clouds drift by, then fly out into space looking at constellations, planets, the crescent moon, and the sun (notice the lens flare). Then I zoom in on the dark side of the Earth as of 11am Pacific time USA (note the city lights in India and China). I then zoom in to Japan where it's raining and then to Greenland where it's snowing. The actual program differs from this recorded flyby in several ways: a) it has cool sound effects for ocean waves, rain, snow, and wind, b) it does not make the longitude and latitude numbers so huge, c) it can show little flags by each city indicating name, temp, day/night, and weather, d) the images are higher resolution than the video though not as high resolution as Google Earth but of course Google Earth has such high resolution images that you have to wait for each part to load when you zoom in while 3D Weather Globe has no delay. There's a ton more features found here http://www.mackiev.com/3d_globe.html
