People were unhappy or unwilling to co operate or rebellious against God's original and apostolic teachings so they created their new religion and printed off their own bible. Christianity is not about ME and what I WANT and if I don't get my own way I'LL CHANGE IT to serve me only. This is human self-centredness and glorification. Jesus came to teach us how to live: to love and to serve. Amen

Jesus said, 'I am the way the truth and the light. If you want to meet my father in Heaven you must do it through me'. For people searching for the truth start reading the Bible that follows Christs original, apostolic and unedited teachings. (you see, there are many versions of the bible and this has caused confusion). The universal or Catholic church follows these teachings. The interpretations come from God himself and not a human who is seeking self-glorification.

@opoutry I totally agree with you. Joel's got it wrong again. The bible doesn't say anywhere to 'visualize and speak out loud' and then 'you're on your way to a new level of glory'. How many good willed people are being mislead by his false teachings? In the gospel of John 8:48 Jesus says 'Yet I do not seek my own glory: there is one who seeks it and HE is the judge'. His wording and interpretations create confusion. Joel is deceptive and illusory.

@opoutry Totally agree. Where in the Holy Bible does Jesus ever mention the words 'image of success'. This is not what Christianity is about. Joel is dellusional. He chops and changes the true meaning of Christs apostolic teachings to make himself feel good. We are warned in John 8: 44 When he lies he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and a father of lies. Whoever is from God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear them is that you are not from God'.

@opoutry Spot on again. I watched one of his programs once and found it very odd that Joel boasted about success, riches, etc. He's got the Christian msg all wrong. Jesus didn't come to teach us about being rich. His msg was simple: love, compassion and servitude. He says in Matthew 16:24-26, For those who want to save their life will lose it and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit them if they GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, but forfeit their lives'.

Joel’s fans, here are the reasons why we don’t buy joel’s positive,feel good messages. here’s some quotes from his book “your best life now” – “if you develop an image of success, health, abundance, joy, peace, happiness, nothing on earth will be able to hold those things from you.” DEVELOP AN IMAGE OF SUCCESS? ARE YOU KIDDING JOEL? JUST DEVELOP AN IMAGE OF SUCCESS? JUST VISUALIZE? IMAGE? LIKE THE GOLDEN CALF? YOU SEE, THAT’S THE LAW OF ATTRACTION THAT IS A PART OF THIS KIND OF SYSTEM.
