  • I live in Baltimore, a 2 plus hour drive, to OC. Most of my beach detecting is there, got down after the storm this past week, Nov17th, a week late but got one silver ring, and a few silver coins. A few guys right after the storm found some gold sov's...HH Joe

  • What make of scooper are you using it looks really great? Did you have it made? Takes all the back breaking out of detecting.

  • Got the scoop from Reilly's Treasured Gold , Long nose scoop, welded a handle on it myself but they will do it for a few bucks,,,Joe

  • Many thanks had a look at their web site. I like the look of their 6 inch version which has a two year guarantee. How do you feel the long nose performs vis the short nose designs. Is wider better? Like the Videos very interesting.

  • @ogo2l each have there good and bads. I like the longnose SS for the reason it hits deeper and cuts thur the sand quick, but it is 6 pounds. With it been 5 inchs I have to be right on the Pinpointing. The 6 inch is lite, Alum./SS tip, cuts well, the 6 inch width helps when digging..it does need a handle. My choice when I hunt is based upon the targets, some times I turn around and change scoops because I am not happy. Good Luck , HH...Joe

  • All the forums claim a slow sweep speed works best with Minelab Sovereigns/Excals, I think that's rubbish myself. Just wondered what you think? btw I'd class your sweep as about right ie brisk :)

  • In almetal / PP I swing some what fast, and after posting video's on findmall in the Beach and Water forum the first few I caught you are not doing it right, your swinging to fast. Ok but for me a medFast swing works on this beach, OCMD. And I think you are right , what works for you is what you use..Every beach you have to go after different...And I start out with a medfast swing & most of the time it has worked for me. When i hunt in disc, I do slow abit.. stay in contact..Joe

  • @daaf4ever seems like a franklin head, and a washington face. good omen apparently.

  • I wondered if anyone else saw the face in the ground. I thought Washington, but I haven't found any Franklins yet. Great vid OldeBeechnut. I have an MXT, I want to get a minelab, I've read some like to have different detectors as a test comparison. I was looking at a used ML 70 or new 705. How do they compare with the Excaliber? What is the weight of the Excaliber? Garretts GTI 2500 looks interesting but I'm not sure how much different it is from my MXT. Thanks

  • how much money can u get for 18 k ring?

  • So in the end has the detector paid for itself?

  • Nice job filling your holes.......not.

  • Now that is how you do a M-D vid no music and just enough info to keep you on the edge of the seat brilliant.

  • Nice coin lol

  • good job !!! fun watching !!!

  • @bigajosep INDEED!

  • Anyone else see a dudes face in the sand at 4:58 ?
