On ABC's This Week, former Vice President Dick Cheney, this Sunday, discussed his thoughts on the Obama administration's handling of terror suspects, while he defended the Bush administration's actions in Iraq and the use of enhance interrogations. He was also asked whether or not the Military policy commonly known as "don't ask, don't tell", which keeps homosexual members in the military from serving openly.
It should always be embarrassing for a draft dodger to even mention the military. However, he seem to be talking reasonably here. Oh my word. Well I guess it has to happen some time. The British Military have a fairly good track record and they have open gays in the military. Everything currently said to be anti gay in the military today are exactly the same things as were said about people of colour. Moral, unit cohesion, ability to fight war. It was bollocks then, it's bollocks now.
