Oil isn't necessarily made Reese. Sure there is a lot of oil under the ground but I'm gonna assuming you mean oil is being cooked into the liquid we can use. But yes we are going to run out out of it and I'm surprised you say that. It's a finite resource and it will eventually run out. Whether we run out soon or not only time will tell but it gets to a point where its more costly energy wise to dig & extract the oil then it is to switch to new tech. I'm just hoping the transition will be easy.

I hope their not going to blast it with a nuke. That would probably make the hole much bigger.

As a geology major I know that earthquake frequency is NOT RISING. Its normal to have 6.0-7.0 earthquakes to happen often. Its just that a few have occured in more populated areas this year.
