USC Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy students share their thoughts on the importance of joining the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Thank you to all the 2nd year students who helped make this project fun and possible!
Thank you to Dr. Jackson for your willingness and enthusiasm to participate in our project!
I think that students being forced to join any organization, including AOTA, is deplorable. AOTA has been around since 1921, and people still don't know what occupational therapy is. Keep sending them your money!

@heather525 I agree, no one should be forced to pay membership dues, however I choose to do so for the reasons stated within this video. We as students & professionals need to financially support our org's lobbyists to help maintain our practice. I enjoy sharing what OT is to my clients and colleagues. It's through who we talk to and through our professional practice that we can advocate and market OT. I love what I do as an OT & I plan to continue supporting my professional org & sharing OT
