Ed from The Barenaked Ladies was at Bamfield Marine Sciences Center in Bamfield, BC filming his show "Ed's Up" and kindly took some time during lunch to play a few favorites for us summer students

  • Ed is someone you just wish will be at any party you have. He epitomizes what it is to be Canadian. If he ever read this ...I would just wish to convey my thanks for his many years of beautiful songs and inspiration. The format that this video was recorded in is so true and real that I feel it captures what music means and conveys to not just the layman but his own peers as well... Thank you Ed.

  • @ks016 ,

What a crazy thing to say. BNL should be thanking Bruce Cockburn for this beautiful song. Indeed, I think they have publicly thanked him on a number of occasions. Two great Canadian talents.

  • I do like Ed AND I do like his musical partner, Stephen Page! Of course Bruce Cockburn gets credit. That goes without saying, n'est pas? He did good, but he still needs Stephen for the high notes. Better together!!! Get back together , for crying out loud!

  • Ty very much Ed and the rest of the ladies ) Amazing band, touching songs, harmonies that make your hairs stand on end! I remember my cousin going to check out this little know local band in T.O. called BNL. How far you guys have come since, but still keeping that BNL feel:) cheers guys, thanks for enriching our lives:)

  • I may account for 10k of these views...

  • thanks Ed!

  • @michaelckerr No way. Have you even listened to their new album? It´s incredible; Jim´s and Kevin´s voices and influence really shined through, and without Steve, it really feels like an entire band effort. That´s not meant as a dig at Steve; he´s an incredible singer and a very friendly person, but if you look at the difference between BLAM and All In Good Time, it´s astounding. I love BLAM as much as any BNL album, but Steve is still too dominating in its sound. They´re better off without him.

  • Pro, ty

  • Ed! Please bring Steven back. If he doesn't want to change his mind, change it for him! If you don't then change your mind. Got it? good! Canada is counting on you Ed ;-) No pressure.
