Lesson #28: April Fool's Day
Welcome to BLT Eigo. I'm your host, David Hylton.
It's April Fool's Day...a day to play pranks or tricks on your family, friends and coworkers.
In Japanese, fool means bakamono and prank is itazura. No one knows when April Fool's Day began; but the tradition is probably well over 500 years old.
Here are some simple prank ideas:
Put sugar in the salt shaker.
Set your friend's alarm clock for 3 a.m.
Put green food coloring in the toothpaste.
Tie shoe laces together.
After you play a prank on someone, be sure to smile and say, "April Fool's!"
Of course I NEVER played any of these pranks.... you believe me, right? ;-)
Good job!
Thanks for joining BLT Eigo. See you next time right here on BLTnetwork.com.
