this is great music and a great concerto, but still prefer Rachmaninov
-
one of the most fascinating and difficult concertos ever written with this exceptional full of movement and phrases masterpiece...a treasure played by a treasure
-
Magnifique!
-
Almost as good as Rachmaninov's 2nd!
-
This is indeed the most beautiful romantic piano concerto ever composed - and played. Thank you, Amir Katz. You have been given a wonderful gift.

answer to lockincaesar: this movement is not played a little too fast but there is missing a bit of structure in the rythmic conception. The Lipatti version is even faster but is more convincing the same I would say concerning the cadenca of the first movement. But its a great youn musician Mr Katz and he has time to play it better and better in the futur....

I'm with you, shniggens - that series of modulations, and the way Schumann messes with the three-quarter timing, is absolutely amazing!!! Schumann rocks -- and Amir Katz as well!

Same here, yet this version is a little bit fast. The piece itself is absolutely amazing, most wonderful ever.

Beautiful execution of such a painfully romantic piece. Bravo senor !
