-The Jonas Brothers and three girls all take two weeks off their jobs to go to Spain. They
head to the airport and nearly two days later, the arrive in Spain. The six of them drive
around the corner in their cab to see a huge mansion. Almost castle-like, the huge home
bore a large front yard surrounded in a sharp, metal fence.
JOE. HOLY NACHO!
NICK. Nacho?
JOE. I dunno. I just thought since we were in Spain...
DULCE. There are no nachos in Spain.
JOE. Fine! Taco.
SELENA. There are no tacos in Spain either.
JOE. ENCHILADA!
RENA. SHUT UP JOE! WE'RE NOT IN MEXICO!
-They gathered their bags from the trunk of the cab and walked up the stoney path to be
greeted by a short Spanish woman. Her skin was worn and wrinkled. Her gray hair was tied
in a bun, and her eyes were a magnificent sky blue. She had a very defined nose, and a
tired look on her face.
DULCE. Abuelita!
GRANDMA. Mi Dulcita y Selena! Tan bellas! -Dulce and Selena give their grandma a huge
hug. Abuelita's almost in tears, she hasn't seen them in so long. After a while, Selena
and Dulce finally realize that Nick, Joe, Kevin, and Rena are still waiting.
GRANDMA. Y tus amigos?
SELENA. Oh! Abuelita, Este es mi novio. -Selena touches Joe's arm.
GRANDMA. Que es su nombre?
JOE. I'm Joe. Nice to meet you m-
GRANDMA. Eh, no, just call me Abuelita. -She says with a heavy accent and a huge smile.
She gives him a huge hug.
JOE. Thankyou for having us, Abuelita.
Kevin. I'm Joe's brother, Kevin.
GRANDMA. Hola Kevin! -She gives him an equally strangling hug.
GRANDMA. And eh you must be Dulce's Nicholas. -She says, cheerfully.
NICK. Yes, it's nice to finally meet you, Abuelita. -She hugs Nick and then spots Rena.
GRANDMA. Y tu eres Serena! -She says, knowing that Rena can understand.
RENA. Gracias por invitarnos, Abuelita.
GRANDMA. Gracias por venir!
(if you don't understand, don't worry. She's just basically saying hi and thanks for
coming. lol)
-Abuelita gives them a quick tour of the ginormous house, and shows them each to their
rooms. They're all in Selena's room, while Abuelita's downstairs cooking dinner.
JOE. Dude, you didn't tell me that your grandma's house was a damn castle! There are like
fifty rooms!
DULCE. Actually, there are ninety-nine rooms.
NICK. This should be a hotel.
SELENA. Bad idea. No one would want to spend the night here.
KEVIN. There you go again with the haunted house thing!
DULCE. Just wait and see...
JOE. Wait! If no one would want to stay the night here, then why are we sleeping here?!?!
RENA. Ha! You said you weren't scared.
JOE. I'm not...It's just that-
RENA. Don't worry, this house isn't haunted. How do you think Abuelita lives here all
alone?
DULCE. Oh, Abuelita doesn't stay here.
JOE. Huh?!?
SELENA. She's only here in the morning. She sleeps in the small house behind this castle.
-She's getting a crack out of scaring Joe.
DULCE. Yup! She's never even been in some of the rooms here. Go up to the fourth floor,
and all you see is complete darkness. The rooms are black and empty.
NICK. If she doesn't go in those rooms, why were they even built?
DULCE. Well, we could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you.
NICK. .........
SELENA. Ugh. Growing up our cousins would tell us stories about how this house was built
by Fernando Salvador, a wicken, and he would use the rooms to keep his victims in.
JOE. What the heck is a wicken.
DULCE. A guy witch.
KEVIN. Wait, so what did he do to the people he kept in the rooms?
SELENA. Well, Fernando believed he had the ability to do things to people, so he would go
into small villages in the middle of the night and kidnap people. He would bring them back
here and put them each in their individual rooms, then he would go in and work his magic.
-an evil smile creeps onto her face.
JOE. He did...magic tricks? -Selena rolls her eyes.
DULCE. Well, the legend is that he had the power to remove body parts from humans without
touching them. -Joe, Nick, and Kevin's faces were first confused and then disgusted.
SELENA. that's why at night you can hear screams coming from down the halls. They're the
screams of Fernando's victims and they're coming back get their revenge.
JOE. I don't believe you guys.
DULCE. Fine don't believe us..... we warned you. And don't go to the bathroom alone at
night, you could get lost or taken.
