  • You could have a manual transmission and clutch that mates with the flywheel and on the front of that put an electric motor with its own clutching system to add energy to the flywheel when needed. Could probably run an electric car around on a single lead acid battery that way, but we can't be having that in a global economy can we

  • Fly wells are not needed on electric cars since you can store the brake energy in the battery or ultracapacitors.
