Clue suffered an injury out in the pasture...watch the video for full details. I apologize that some of the footage is sideways...I wasn't thinking very clearly at the time, and I forgot my camera doesn't automatically rotate the videos. I love you, Clue, and wish you a speedy recovery.

  • the vet said my horse should have surgury on his stifle. i'm scared but he dosen't give up so neither will i. beautiful horse! she looks like a fighter to me! strong of spirit. i'm sure she'll pull though so she can see you smile again!

  • Thank you...she almost died because of a series of complications...

...the fact that, as you see in the video, that she was splinted on the injured side and was offered NO support on the opposing limb was not helping...and that is why it never hurts to second guess the professionals.

  • Consider getting a second, third, maybe even a fourth opinion, if you have the time/finances available.

  • poor girl! is she ok now?

  • See more recent videos of her (there is a Clue playlist) for the entire story--far too much to type here!

  • is she okay?

  • Actually, she developed compensatory laminitis from them improperly supporting the uninjured leg...and it's been a year long battle in which she was almost euthanized. Please see my other videos...

  • oh, okay - well hopefully that will get better =] it's not your fault, who would think about much else when their horse is in a splint? i'd be in such a daze i wouldn't think of anything except dealing with the major, current problem =)

  • I'm so sorry! This was a battle with laminitis...but one thing I've noticed is, and this was my fault in part for not knowing better at the time, they did not initially support the right front when they had the left front splinted...and the right front is the one that developed compensatory laminitis...

  • That's great news, we had to put my gelding down after a major neck surgery, so I know what it's like. I'm glad she's doing well and made it through!
