I loved hearing the Vette at the Long Beach Gran Prix in 2009. They were the last 2 cars left in the GT1 class, all the competition fled to GT2. It just had the most beautiful, raw sound, that even the Ford fans were slack jawed when it flew by.

It can rev to 8500 and not damage anything, it just doesnt build any more power at that rpm though, it just drops off. I know what you mean though.

Imagine if that monstrous V8 could rev just another 1000 rpm, it would make one of the greatest sounds on earth be a powerful contender for THE greatest sound on earth.
