Fatah men flee violent clashes in Gaza - 3 Aug 08

More than 30 Fatah supporters who fled into Israel on Saturday night, have now been returned to Gaza and are under Hamas Security forces' detention.

A prominent Fatah leader was among the more than 150 Palestinians who sought refuge to escape the most fierce fighting in the Gaza Strip since Hamas took control of the area over a year ago.

The clashes have left at least nine people dead and nearly 100 wounded.

A Jazeera's Zeina Awad reports on the price Palestinians have to pay for the bitter internal split between Hamas and Fatah.
