You Can also track the camera to an empty, that way you can just aim the camera by moving the empty. And when you move the camera, it still aims toward the desired target, without having to rotate the camera manually.
I have trouble with FLY mode so I just view the object the way I want then hit CTRL+ALT+Numpad0. That makes the camera view the user view. Hope this speeds things up for u.
Hey CM. You obviously know more than I about Blender, but I was wondering. I used to move the camera like that but it was a pain. Now I just fly it to where I want it to be, it is much faster and easier. Object mode of course, camera selected, then shift F, now just move around the mouse and wheel in or wheel out, then click to set. Are you familiar with this?
