Great song. Very spiritual. Frankie sings it the best. Its the emotion he puts in.
Dougie Maclean wrote and performs the song, great as well.
But Frankie has the edge and the voice!

@adrianbussey You're right Dougie did write it and most people now think of his version, but at the same time Frankie first made the song famous. It's possible that without his version both the song and Dougie himself would be less well known than they became!

i sung this version at church with my primary school for my leaving year and after we all sang, every single person in church was crying :'( love this song soo much and im so proud to be Scottish!!! <3 xxxxx
