  • Absence of pity! Have you actually ever read anything on his life and works? We're talking about a commander who often nursed troops himself!

  • @tiairisper Indeed I love that man, but what is said is that he was brilliant in fighting battles where his numbers were under 150,000 man. The army he took to Russia was to big for him, because he never leaded that many man. You see later in his 1814 campaign trough France that he booked amazing victories with sometimes only 40,000 troops against a majority of Russians, Prussians, Austrians and Germans. But still the greates man ever lived in my opinion. Vive L'Empereur!

  • ERRATUM : When napoleon entered Russia, he had an army of 650 000 men!

The biggest army never realized in the history.......

  • Sorry, it's me again, but you're selling yourself short. He didn't get greedy, he was double-crossed by Spain and attacked by Austria and then Russia.

The Civil Code wasn't his last reform either, far from it. The Penal Code, Civil procedure Code, Commercial Code, the Code of Criminal law and so on came afterwards. Not to mention France's first modern fire brigade and so much more.

  • ps "Emperor of the French" and not "Emporer of France". You've got good taste in art and music though...
