Representing Britain at the Venice Biennale is a rare accolade. Tracey Emin is only the second British female artist to have a solo exhibition in the British Pavilion, the first was Rachel Whiteread in 1997. So has she pulled it off? We canvassed opinion as the doors opened on her new show and Emin made her grand entrance.
I agree with the second critic who disliked the show. Her work seems very derivative and unoriginal. I feel like most of the draw is in her dramatic stunts to show how personal her work can be, but ultimately it isn't saying very much.

@Whatever3114 Of course there are loads of great british artists, and tracey is one of them. Saville and brown are brilliant too.
Come back when you're work is shown at the Venice Biennale.
And she has an MA in painting you ignorant cunt.

@rimind1
the show has been withdrawn, due to people realising Tracey is actually pretty crap.

inspiration is the common word used by the week end "artists", those who wait for some sort of call to produce some objects that may recall real art at some distance. art is the main fulfillment of an artist's mind. the process of making art and developing a creative language requires knowledge (and i do not mean a technical one) and thought. it's a permanent subject, so rather than inspiration real art requires a cultural personal grouth process. who waits for inspiration is just an amateur.
