How do you go about picking a name for your baby? Here's a quick lesson in Baby Names 101, including some cautionary tales of what not to name your baby. So does your name have a story? Why did you choose your baby's name? Any name you hate? Please throw your two cents into our free for all comments section! And thanks for Jodi Bonjour at the mom tech review for the idea!

  • Ok. I like these names. But I can't decide on my favorites. So any comments or suggestions? I just like names. Girls: Alexandria Rose, Grace Isabella, Emilise Novel, Maxine Noelle, Ryanne Elizabeth. Boys: Blake Michael, James "Jamie" Vincent, Ezekiel "Zeke" Storm, Chase Tanner, Reese Maxwell, Andrew "Drew" Parker, Aubrey Gabriel. I don't want anything too popular. But I still love some popular ones. Comment!! Thanks!!

  • @songgirl101 at the very least you should be a romance novelist - these are great names! love Alexandria Rose and Ryanne Elizabeth - very pretty. When we were trying to name Kayleigh I thought Cayenne was a pretty word with some spirit to it but it is also a spicy pepper so it was kind of a non starter. You've come up with some original takes on popular names - nice job

  • So you're saying don't go with Chuck? :) As in 'Banana farna fo...' I wonder why all names suddenly sound terrible as soon as you're actually going to hve a baby, even the ones that have been at the back of your mind as favourites for years, heck *especially* those ones. Everything slighty unusual sounds weird and anything even slighty mainstream sounds bland. Oh well, still have months to decide fortunately.

  • @nugagim I totally agree - when you're pregnant all of the sudden so many names sound terrible. Congratulations on your little one of the way!

  • i LOVE the name Leia!! :( and im guessing you like star wars?

  • @mairs20 Love Star Wars (eps 4,5 and 6 anyway). And I hear ya, Leia can be a good name :)

  • Really funny video(: And a lot of good points too, esp about Adolf and how it doesn't matter if it's in the family...it's the kid who has to grow up with it. I'm not crazy about the spelling of Kayleigh, but I love Kayleigh India (: It has so much personality to it, and it flows beautiful! Nice name:] My fav names (at the moment): Anna Elizabeth Wendy Evangeline Jamie Alessandra Analiese Marie Prim Julianna Astrid (no MN yet) Boys: Peter Alexander James Atticus George Elliot Charlie (no MN yet)
  • Your videos are one of the few entertaining baby videos on youtube. :)

I'm 18.. just found out I'm pregnant, not even sure if I'm keeping it, but I'm already looking at names...

    :/

...I personally LOVE the name Skylar for a girl or boy.

    ...*sigh* this is bad... >_<

  • something that wont grow smart enough to be pissed off at you love it

  • EXON 014 HISTORY COMPLETED HITECH

  • @songgirl101 These names are really nice, but some seem backwards.. like Isabella Grace flows better than Grace Isabella in my opinion. and Tanner Chase, Maxwell Reese, Gabriel Aubrey sound better than the opposite.

  • Dumb question whats the song in the credits at the End

  • I have a cousin named Phoebe Michelle S. I bet life is gonna be tough once she gets about 13!

  • I Already have my childrens names picked out! Lol. My two boys names are, Jesse Jonas Phoenix Bennett and Jensan Elijah Denver Hanson. And my girls names are Brooklynn Riley Dallas Skylar and Mackenna Summer Atlanta Delilah :D

  • My top names are:

Ella Evangeline, Sofia Seraphina, and Eva Grace. Logan Anthony, Daren John, and Rhys Richard.

I am an author and my friend is a poet, so she named her children Stori and Novella. What ever happened to nice names?
