Mario Paint - Desseler4's "Real" Soundfont 1.2 - Through the Fire and Flames Preview

That's right, I have released a second version with all instruments in tune! The Movie contains alot of Info about the soundset.

Watch until the end for the example song: Through the Fire and Flames. I do plan to finish it eventually!

1: Having two of the exact same instrument is bad. Make the face something else.

2: Many of the instruments have too long a sustain.

3: Many of the instruments are barely audible. the heart is my biggest complaint.

4: Too many electric guitars. Can we have just the Plant and nothing else?

Apparently now I'm a soundfont critic...

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Many of these will be dealt with in the next version.

There are some that won't be tinkered with because I meant for them to be that way. For instance:

1: the face is piano without pedal and the coin is piano WITH pedal.

2: The instruments are meant to be used with the low A glitch or lowering the volume.

3: It sounds fine to me... I'll consider it.

4: How can you have too many electric guitars? Electric guitars are awesome! I will not be changing any of the electric guitar sounds, at the least I would add more.

Are there anymore requests that you would like in the next soundfont? echos? Fading? longer samples? different samples? Criticism (constructive only) is allowed and encouraged!

1: I just though they sounded a bit TOO alike... At least they make a louder instrument when together.

2: It just seems as though the sustain is very far, even with the glitch.

3: Some of the major instruments are barely audible, especially with other things in the background. The heart was also a complaint (for the same reason) in Cat333Pokemon's soundfont.

4: I personally think three similar sounding instruments is a bit over-the-top. One is plenty.

needs an harp, change the boo for the harp. needs a square wave, change the gameboy to make it, you can put the dog for the sawtooth wave,

@desseler4 the yoshi is an electric guitar but the plant is OVERDRIVEN guitar, and the plane a clean guitar. and a saxophone

I think you'll need an open hi-hat, higher electric guitars, acoustic guitars, a louder bass... But then again, I shouldn't be judging your soundfont because I couldn't make one in the first place : )
